Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullaah), in his
Prophetic Medicine, lists
fenugreek as one of the simple foodstuffs and medicines that can be used for a variety of conditions These were covered in a previous article on
fenugreek. After discussing
fenugreek and its beneficial uses, he says:
It's benefits are many times more than what we have mentioned ... Some physicians have said: "If people knew its benefits they would buy it for its weight in gold".
